Biography
Director, Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery
Professor, Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine
Dr. Sirls is the Director of the Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery program at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, and is a Professor of Urology at the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. Dr. Sirls graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Detroit and earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan.
Dr. Sirls specializes in in both male and female urinary problems including routine or complicated pelvic surgery, and the evaluation and management of patients with neurologic disease who have urinary problems including stroke, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury, Parkinson’s disease, etc.
He is an active and achieved researcher and has published extensively in reconstructive urology and urinary incontinence, co-authoring more than 100 peer reviewed manuscripts and book chapters.
